Connect2Luton's 2024 Review: Celebrating our Achievements

As the year comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on everything Connect2Luton has accomplished in 2024. It’s been a year filled with milestones, impactful events, and moments that brought our community closer together. None of it would have been possible without the incredible people of Luton – and we’re proud to celebrate these achievements with you. 

Recognised at the British Recruitment Awards 

This year, Commercial Services Group Recruitment Division (formed of a number of brands including Connect2Luton), were honoured to be named finalists in the prestigious British Recruitment Awards for: 

• Public/Third Sector Recruitment Agency of the Year 

• Recruitment Campaign of the Year (for our impactful Save for Summer campaign). 

These nominations underscore our commitment to providing innovative recruitment solutions and delivering meaningful results for the communities we serve. 

Celebrating a Rising Star 

We are especially thrilled to announce that Carren Flanagan, our talented Recruitment Trainer, won the Rising Star Award at the British Recruitment Awards. This accolade highlights Carren’s dedication, expertise, and the difference she has made in empowering individuals and strengthening our team. 

Shortlisted for the REC Awards 

A proud moment for our team, acknowledged for Community Impact, showcasing our dedication to making a difference beyond recruitment. 

Bringing Opportunity to Luton 

Throughout 2024, we worked hard to create opportunities for local talent, attending over 12 job fairs, including Luton Borough Council Community Job Fairs. These events helped us connect with talented individuals and make a real difference in people’s lives. 

A Big Moment for Luton: Radio 1’s Big Weekend 

In May, we had the honour of staffing Radio 1’s Big Weekend, an unforgettable moment not just for us, but for Luton as a whole. This event showcased the vibrant energy and talent of our community, leaving a lasting impact we’ll always cherish. 

Community Connections 

One of our most special moments this year was captured on the Town Hall steps, where we stood alongside Robin Porter, Chief Executive of Luton Borough Council. This moment symbolised our shared commitment to supporting Luton and its residents. 

Looking Ahead to 2025 

As we reflect on 2024, we are filled with gratitude for the incredible journey we’ve been on. From awards to community impact, each step we’ve taken has brought us closer to our vision of creating a thriving and connected Luton.
